MiFID was the most comprehensive overhaul of European regulation in the past twenty years and as such demanded careful consideration, particularly as many of the changes were detailed and in some cases subtle but important.  MiFID has changed the way firms will operate and interact with markets and customers. Unfortunately the changes were scattered throughout the thousands of pages of legalese that comprise the directive and secondary European regulations and the FSA consultation papers.

We benchmarked our analysis against that of the regulators, trade associations, relevant law firms and accountants.  Our experience supporting hundreds of investment firms and our focus on asset management enabled us to reduce the mountain of information to manageable proportions.

The deadline for MiFID compliant was 1 November 2007, but the implementation lead time was several months for many clients.
